Explore the South Downs on Easter Monday, stay in town the evening before for less than £70
My room cost £62! Get down to the coast from London in just over an hour, less than £15 with a rail card. I'm staying at the simple 3* Chatsworth Hotel. It's comfortable, clean and has 1807 charm. It's quiet, the beach is opposite, the south downs beckon for exploring and hiking, flora and fauna await. Lazy village pubs in nearby Findon. Hotel location is as central as you can get, restaurants and bars close by. Try Perch on the pier 200 yards away for a spot of digital nomadism. Head upstairs with your latte for uninterrupted sea vistas. The Crab shack is round the corner. Or head to Marks close by for picnic supplies. Yesterday the nearby cafe Coast had chilled house DJs upstairs all afternoon and into the night for open air dancing and social with stunning views inland to the downs, turning 360 for the sea horizon. Yesterday was super sunny but windy, it is always a little cooler here, today it's overcast ATM with a few rays trying to burst through.Tomorrow who knows 🙂🌱
