Gardening, running & meditation.
I'm reading that running with mindful focus can generate "flow state" and is actually a form of meditation. Regular practice is reported to provide higher states of consciousness, with a profound sense of wellbeing and contentment. It's a well-kept secret by those retreating to forest hideaways and mountain tops for aeons!
I absorbed a couple of articles overnight and did a little research. Neural changes caused by various deep meditative practices have now been captured on camera 🧘♀️🍂. (Look up Matthew Sacchet at Harvard Medical if you want to learn more).
And hey, when we garden, and abandon time, we focus on shape, structure, texture, smell, and sound. We do this at speed, repetitively, in nature and fully grounded. I for one can report that the feeling is the same as flow state, and the same that I feel when I run long distances or have acupuncture. Next stop: Japanese cloud pruning and the art of the Zen garden. Qigong in the Pine Forest. Forest Bathing.🌲🛀🌳All have crossed my path. And then there is Mycobacterium vaccae. Its in every handful of soil you touch with your hands and you can't help but breathe it in. It spikes your Serotonin and elevates mood. Its official 😊
Oh and btw, if you need a gardener soon to elevate your space, drop me a WhatsApp on 07440 564 280 to make your booking today. 😊🍂.
Happy gardening and have a great Thursday, Andres 🌞🌱
